wonderful! thanks so much…i come from a family of teachers, and now as you know my eldest is in school…it’s hard, teachers get a bad rap, and there’s no doubt there are a lot of problems with education (and with some teachers)…but this video, this gets to the heart of it - most are caring human beings devoted to bringing out the best in their students, and get way too little support or credit for that…
Teaching was by far the hardest job I ever had, maybe because I was 40 when I started. By the time I was 50 I was physically and spiritually exhausted. I think elementary education still works well, but I’m convinced secondary ed really needs a paradigm shift that gives students more ownership in their schooling.
