I got this picture in the mail today. The woman who took the picture sent it to my mother and she sent it to me. Neither of us had seen it before. Makes me miss my daddy.
I love old family pictures. I have a bunch of them, and it’s funny that people posed differently for pictures then. The little girl’s smile is so genuine–that’s exactly how I imagine you now, with a genuine smile!
What a wonderful surprise it must have been to get this through the mail, so close to the time when you’ll have another wee cutie in your life! I love that you’re wearing TARTAN!
Walter, this must have been the way it was, only I don’t remember any of it.
Janice, I love that you shared that wonderful word with me. Haven’t seen TARTAN in so long. Everything is plaid over here. It was delightful to see this picture for the first time. She doesn’t look it but my mom was probably pregnant with my brother when this was taken.

Nothing like a father’s warm embrace to make a girl smile. You know that. You have girls.
